Meet the author

Hi, I’m Brandy Bartlett—writer, wife, mama, homeschooler, and firm believer that the best stories are the ones that speak to the heart.

I write gentle, faith-based books for children that offer comfort, courage, and the reminder that God is with us—even in the middle of the storm. My debut picture book, Finly Frog and the Thunderstorm, was inspired by some of my own struggles and the questions my children ask during life’s loud and scary moments. Like many kids, they feel deeply, ask big questions, and want to know that everything is going to be okay.

Through warm illustrations, sweet animal characters, and Scripture-centered storytelling, I hope to help parents and children connect over truth-filled words and quiet moments together. Whether it’s thunder outside or a storm in their heart, I want little ones (and adult ones, too!) to know they are never alone.

When I’m not writing, you can find me reading, making rainy days cozy, or dreaming up new ways to turn everyday life into something a little more magical. I live with my husband and our family, where cattails, thunderstorms, and fireflies are all part of our story, too.
